21ji no Onna Newscaster Katsuragi Miki
It's horrible, ugly and creepy. I found it almost unwatchable.
Katsuragi Miki is a newscaster with a misleading public image. "She's beautiful and seems so innocent."
The second adjective definitely doesn't apply... although, frankly, "beautiful" is also a stretch, since she's just a bog-standard anime character. Anyway, she's a masturbation addict. She has a drawer full of dildos and uses them at work while saying, "I've got to stop doing this. If someone finds out..." and "I'm tempted to turn my dangerous fantasies into reality."
She starts using a vibrator even while reading the news live. (She has two orgasms and no one realises.) Also, she also either doesn't notice or care that one of the production staff looks up her skirt and and sees a tell-tale bulge in her knickers.
This was already sinister even before this bloke started blackmailing Katsuragi into performing sex acts, wearing a kinky chastity belt, having outdoor sex in the park, getting exposed to and shagged by another male staff member (who'd previously respected her), etc. He takes sex videos, for additional blackmail material. It all probably ends with Katsuragi's suicide. She's miserable and on the roof of a tall building, saying, "Am I going to continue being corrupted?" (The literal meaning of these words in Japanese is "am I just going to keep falling?") Her scarf flies off in the wind and disappears. Then, in the next shot, she's not there any more.
That final episode ends with "TO BE CONTINUED", but they're lying. Incidentally, Media Blasters licensed the first two episodes for a Western release, but not ep.3.
The story doesn't even make sense. Miki receives scripts the day before, but she's a newsreader. You can't predict the news. Also, that blackmailer gives her a remote-controlled vibrator. Since when was that a thing? Even in Japan, that seems like a gadget with limited sales appeal. (UPDATE: apparently remote control vibrators are a thing. Oh my God. Well, never let it be said that these discussions aren't educational.)
Ugh, ugh, ugh. Katsuragi had probably been heading for a fall anyway, but she didn't deserve this.
