It's a harem show, but a charming one that you wouldn't be embarrassed to watch in company. It has a meek male protagonist (Aki) in a house full of girls who like him, obviously. Most of them have big boobs. That's all as normal... but the twist here is that Aki is a small, feminine-looking boy who wants to establish his manliness while not having a sex drive or being manly in the slightest. He thinks "manly" means "reliable", so he'll try to do your shopping or carry things for you, despite being tiny.
Press your boobs against him and he'll just get flustered and think you're getting too close. Naturally all the girls think he's adorable, but in the manner of a younger sibling or a pet. It's as if they're playing with a child. This drives him a bit nuts, but he's also good-natured, stoic and sensible enough to realise that they mean no harm.
This is a funny premise and I always enjoyed watching this show. It's gentle. There's a lot of buxom and some questionable camera angles, but nothing naughty. Our heroines are:
(a) Ayaka the caretaker. Huge, sweet, impossibly serene and possibly a bit of an airhead. She's like everyone's mum. She spends more time looking looking after Aki than anyone else, mostly because she does that for everyone.
(b) Yuzu. Tiny (in every way), aggressive, short-tempered and the only cast member who might, possibly, see Aki as a romantic partner rather than a cute toy. That might just be natural bristliness, though. She's capable of invading his room and lying on his bed just because his room's downstairs and hence cooler. Similarly, them sleeping together in ep.12 really is just sleeping and it never occurs to you that anything more might have happened. (It's Christmas and Aki still believes in Santa, which is bizarre but also very him. Yuzu becomes protective about this.)
(c) Yuri. Smiling sadist.
(d) Sumire, a lesbian who's fixated on Yuzu to the point of getting nosebleeds. Always calm, polite and well-behaved, but certain kinds of normal reactions and restraints seem to be missing from her brain.
(e) Nana, the loud, fashion-conscious gyaru. She's also Ayaka's little sister and has a similar cup size, but is far more playful and exhibitionist. She and her gyaru friends take their teasing of Aki the furthest, sometimes seeming one drink away from using him as their sex toy. They're thoroughly nice people, but Aki in such circumstances generally just wants to escape.
(f) Aki's sister, Matsuri. Good lord. The weirdest cast member, by a long way. Doesn't appear until ep.11. Matsuri vs. Ayaka is funny.
It's a charming show. Refreshingly, given the genre, Aki won't get punished for being in dodgy-looking situations since everyone knows it's not his fault. The huge Ayaka getting scolded in his stead by the tiny Yuzu is funny. Admittedly it's a fanservice boob show that runs on putting Aki in mildly suggestive predicaments, but the fanservice is tame and the show's gentle and good-natured. Recommended!
