It's cheerfully filthy, but also a proper ongoing series with likeable characters, a sense of humour and sometimes even a plot. Masahiro Morio's been a manga-ka for about twenty years now and his other series look pretty normal and conventional. (He seems to like sports, having done beach volleyball, rugby, wrestling and paintball/airsoft players.) Apparently, it was his editor's suggestion that he do an isekai series about a girl who works as a prostitute. He didn't say "no", though.
It's well drawn. Morio's a good artist and his work is attractive, cute and fun to look at. The title character, Yuzuki, is downright lovable. This isn't hentai, but there's plenty of sex and it's anatomically correct above the waist. (Penises are weird blazes of light.)
Yuzuki was a prostitute in Japan... ish. No vaginal penetration. She'd been working in "fuuzoku" for three years and she'd acquired a range of imaginative techniques to satisfy customers in other ways. On finding herself transported to a fantasy world, she stuck with this career! Why? Because she loves it! In this series, prostitution is completely safe, no one catches a venereal disease and the girls all love their work! Everyone's happy, healthy and making their own informed choices as consenting adults. Similarly, their customers are cuddly and never scary. No one's violent or involved in organised crime. What better career could possibly exist? Why, Yuzuki helps two newbies enter the profession (a deity and a princess) by letting them sit in and observe her satisfying a customer. (A third newbie arrives when an adventurer, Appony, decides that Yuzuki must have amazing sword-wielding techniques and vows to shadow her at work and learn her secrets. Initially, her idea of "sword" is literally a long sharp metal weapon.) In every case, entering prostitution helps the girls become happier, better people. (The manga even makes this seem plausible, especially with the spoiled princess.) Furthermore, when a ruthless business rival falls into bankruptcy and has to take part-time work outside the sex industry, Yuzuki goes to her enemy's aid and helps her find new ways to sell her body! Hurrah, a happy ending!
In this series, prostitution can heal people. Customers might realise things about themselves, or learn about the importance of human connections, or find new ways to overcome their problems. Unfortunately, this makes the series format dramatically static. Our heroines don't want or need anything, except to keep doing what they do (a lot, every day). They're happy. They're stable. They're enjoying their work. That's nice for them, but a problem for the storytelling.
Volume 1 is quite good. There's a Demon Lord who could destroy the world, which is played for comedy. There's an even more powerful Egyptian deity. The day-to-day chapters are also good, examining the sometimes surprising challenges of individual customers. An orc's hair is so thick and bristly that it's like making love to a wire scrubbing brush, while a grumpy old bloke has tastes Yuzuki isn't naturally equipped to satisfy. That storyline even manages to be body positive. We meet Yuzuki's equally likeable colleagues, with the most important ones being Chipo (a dog beastgirl), Etoreeza (a cheerful blonde with a bit of a temper) and Lapis (enthusiastic newbie). Later in the series, we'll meet the spoiled princess Shamuran (volume 5) and the adventurer Appony (volume 7).
Afterwards, though, the series goes downhill. Stuff happens and there are some lively story arcs, but the series doesn't really have anywhere to go. Most of the girls end up with some kind of romantic partner (although no one regards this as an impediment to their professional activities) and there's the not-very-urgent question of "does Yuzuki really want to go home?" The most interesting story arcs tend to involve new girls being introduced to the brothel, because at least that's a life-changing decision. (Also, sex scenes are sexier when it's not just the everyday professional routine of business as usual.)
Elsewhere, though, it's just not that interesting. Explore the world, see fantasy situations, have sex. (Or, in Yuzuki's case, work through an impressive and mildly educational range of non-penetrative fuuzoku techniques, suggesting that the manga-ka must have done some level of research.) There are magic swords and stuff. There's universe-hopping. It ends in volume 9 with an orgy to save the world, including all the prostitutes in the series. As a story, it's okay. But I wouldn't rate it any higher than that.
It's also not pornography. If that's what you want, buy hentai. It's a jolly-looking manga that happens to have lots of self-censored sex scenes (although at least it's not nipple-less nudity).
Is this a good series? Not really, but I don't hate it. Yuzuki herself is adorable and in any other series would be the innocent, optimistic heroine who knows nothing about anything but is determined to give it a go! (She's not looking for romance, incidentally. She genuinely loves being a prostitute, which she sees as a public service.) The series has a good heart, albeit a highly questionable connection with the reality of the industry it's portraying. It made me laugh once or twice. It also never gets scary, despite occasional story points that could have gone in Deeply Wrong Directions. (Yuzuki twice gets regressed to a pre-pubescent child form, while Chapo has a brother with a sister complex.)
For something more realistic, read
JK Haru Is a Sex Worker in Another World. (There were two 2019 manga series about a Tokyo girl going to an isekai and becoming a prostitute.) That series was written for women, whereas this clearly isn't. It's lighter and sillier. If you bought this, you'd probably think volume 1 was goofy sex fun, but would probably end up flicking through most of the rest without spending too much time on them. Shamuran and Appony are worth a look in volumes 5 and 7, perhaps.
"That girl is no ordinary person! I see, she's just DISGUISED as a call girl. She definitely has some secret training! Wait, I'll see for myself what kind! Let me work here! My name is Appony! I'm sure of my skills!"
