"Where are we?"

"I see that the seal has been broken, Master. That was just a small sample of your power."

"My power?"

"Yes. Putting it in more complicated terms, the Giselle Sanctuary and the Itolria Galaxy have been completely destroyed. Very well done."

"Destroyed, you say?"

"This is a three-dimensional space. 7,000 years ago, when you fell asleep, you were at the bottom of this planet's dimension."

"That doesn't explain anything."

"You've just escaped from that dimension's seal and erupted here into the third dimension. The destruction of a couple of galaxies is a small price to pay for the return of your strength. Besides, Master, destroying existence is your destiny."

"So you mean to say that countless lives were lost just then?"

"Exactly, Master!"

It's brilliant. It's hentai, but it's a keeper. I howled. Now that's how to tell a comedy with an indestructible overpowered protagonist. The show's probably funnier today than it was in 2001, in fact, since wish-fulfilment protagonists in anime have got even worse and this series skewers them. Its Master can destroy galaxies by accident and smash you to atoms by touching your shoulder. Shoot him with a rocket launcher and he won't even notice. Also, he's got five eyes and resembles something you found under a stone in your garden, but as big as a bear.

Also, though, he's a lovely, polite chap who doesn't want to hurt anyone. He tries to teach his ruthless servant, Ren, about compassion and love. On meeting a spaceship captain (Roze) who got demoted to street patrol because she lost her ship when he destroyed a galaxy, he apologises, buys her sandwiches and tidies her flat.

I love him. He's wonderful.

The humans are also comedic. Girls in the future will be broad-minded and interested in sex with what looks like a cross between a praying mantis and a wet sneeze. Roze thinks he's wonderful and gives him her virginity, then later on realising who he is demands it back. (She'll chase him vengefully throughout ep.2, but eventually realises he's not as evil as his legend and decides to stay and keep an eye on him.) Faye the bounty hunter appoints herself his disciple (whether he likes it or not) and says she wants his strength. Ren replies that power transfer is possible, but it requires physical congress.

MASTER (horrified): "Wha-wha-WHAT?!?"

FAYE (having stripped in under a second): "Make love to me? Great! Master, do your best!"

REN: "Well done. Master, go ahead."

MASTER: "G-go ahead? But I don't think I'm emotionally ready..."

As for Princess Chime, she knows a different legend about the Dark Devil and thinks he's her planet's saviour.

I laughed and laughed. It's fantastic. (Also, it's only softcore. We have to take it on trust that Master is anatomically correct, since those girls can see something we can't.) Imagine a sexier, funnier Overlord, except that the skeletal Ainz Ooal Gown can't satisfy the sexual needs of Albedo and Shalltear Bloodfallen. (He'd have a happier workforce if he did, obviously.) Would it have been possible to continue this short hentai series? Answer: probably not for long. There's a limit to the stories you can tell about someone this powerful. To think Superman's writers thought they had it hard. These two episodes, though, are glorious.

Incidentally, this is another hentai based on a computer game by ELF... so I'm going to go looking for other shows adapted from their work. (Except for YU-NO, which I sampled in 2019 and hated.)
