One-line summary: harem comedy about a grumpy tutor and an academically weak set of quintuplet sisters
I watched this show's first season and enjoyed three-quarters of it. Unfortunately, that was eps.1-9, with every indications of a permanent gear change into pointless harem bollocks.
This episode's okay, though. Not really worth watching, but not horrible. I presume it's adapting two manga chapters, since the episode's two halves are telling unrelated mini-stories. The first half-episode is about Fuutarou Uesugi (the cold, obnoxious tutor protagonist) being in hospital and the five girls all visiting him. Nothing too wrong with that. We do, though, get a childhood flashback that shows a younger Fuutarou being just as rude as he is now, but in a different way.
The second half-episode, though, has Fuutarou trying to identify a quintuplet who'd just stepped out of the shower and was carrying a bag with lots of zero test scores. (As you would in the shower. Ahem.) He seems almost proud of being unable to tell the difference between the girls if he can't see their hairstyles, e.g. if they've wrapped their hair in a towel. This half-episode is silly and pointless. Fuutarou gathers the sisters and tries assorted interrogation techniques, but never just asks them directly.
